也就是說.. remote control的意思是 "用來從遠端發出命令給.. 電視或是其他(消費性)電子產品.." 而有意思的是.. wiki在history的解釋中附上了一些所謂的"remote controller" [譯:遙控器]
各式各樣的電視遙控器 因此可以知道.. remote controller的目的經過了這幾年的演進其實沒有太大的變化，目的不外乎只有一件事情.... 也就是上面那段quote的菁華.... "Commonly, remote controls are used to issue commands from a distance to sth...." 遠端發出一個命令來控制某件事情....
